LEADERSHIP

This was a triathlon event I started and directed.  The first year I marketed this I got about 400 people to sign up which made this more successful than the largest triathlon companies in Utah their first year of business.  The race was held at Seven Peaks Water Park for three years.

I have hired for four companies and interviewed candidates for positions like content marketer, call center manager, call center representative, plumbing manager, HVAC manager, digital art/painter and more.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT

These are a couple marketing analysis reports of some of my budget layouts calculating ROI’s, spend, profits, costs etc. to enable me to make decisions on how to allocate spend to ultimately increase profits.

TARGET MARKET DELIVERY

We had a problem on our student housing sites for the longest time whether we should show pricing right away, wait to show it, show it later and exactly what people wanted to see.  After some thought, I came up with this idea to let the user see all the options in tabs which included most of the main decision points of deciding whether someone wanted to make a purchase and also give the user the information in a timely manner.

In these compact sections I delivered real life images of the unit, floor layout showing color coded bedrooms of 1 & 2 bedroom units, map of where the units are located on the property, price, amenities and more.  Also, part of the reason it’s like this is because there were about 13 different unit choices which had previously made the selection process extremely confusing online, if not nearly impossible to compare information.  #win

I’ve conducted nationwide contests for customers involving PR and internal company promotional incentives to drive employees to greater goals and achieve objectives.

ADVERTISING AWARD

My marketing team won this award for best advertising campaign in the state of Utah at the Tourism Works Conference.  We worked with our ad agency to produce a variety of promotional content as part of our $500,000 tourism campaign.

SEO

I took this website from zero to hero in a few months, landing page 1 on Google for every relevant key term I was going for.  It just needed some love and care!

I’ve been involved with search engine optimization for about 10 years and have worked on many websites including efforts such as solo managing over thirty five individual sites for a half billion dollar company.  If you need results, I’m here.

This second example was a site I owned.  I purchased the domain name in January and launched the site in late February.  In the first year I got 125,000+ individual unique users to visit my site and nearly 300,000 hits all from SEO.  I didn’t use any paid advertising.  Thumbs up!  =)

TRADITIONAL MARKETING

I worked with my team and I created about 20 of these commercial signs placed at Utah housing properties.  I’ve done quite a bit of ad spend using billboards, radio ads, newspaper ads, sports arenas and more.

POP-UPS

The utilization of pop-up marketing on websites can be very effective with a proper incentive.  They can also be frustrating for customers unless you give your target market what they are looking for.  This is a pop-up example from one of the 35 sites I was hired to solo manage for a $500,000,000 student housing company.  I’ve also used mobile number collecting pop-ups that are also highly effective when utilized afterward.  These don’t have to used as pop-ups only, but as landing pages to collect info.

A/B TESTING EMAIL CONVERSIONS

As a Marketing Manager, I increased email click-through rates from 9% to about 20% for one of the companies I was at and for another company raised open rates from about 5% to a consistent 40%.  Building a good list is just one step that is made of up many effective steps to making emails successfully convert.  In many ways, building a successful converting email list is like building a social media channel.  Within the emails I used better techniques, A/B testing, graphics, layouts, analysis and more.

Contributing factors to successful email campaigns are determined by email header strategies, the size of the list, who is on that list, the type of promotion or information, layout and other factors.

The other part of this image shows an update for an 80 page booklet I made for our sales team to use as a main marketing piece to assist them in bringing in more business.  A salesperson would select several pages from the booklet to create a customized bid for their client.  This definitely not only speeds up the process for our salespeople, but produces a professional way to showcase our products.
